Women have had it quite bad in media representation. When they’re being drawn rather than filmed or generated in computers, they’ve also got to deal with body shape. Tiny waists, big breasts, stupidly posed and generally skantilly clothed – why can’t they just leave the female form alone, rather than creating this imaginary ideal and overshooting it by ridiculous proportions. Which then makes my job harder when I have to parody it – making sure everyone knows that this taking the piss out of something that is already part breaking point.
