Welcome to another comic roundup, this week we go a little Spidey mad, with not one but two bits of exciting tit bits. Plus a few unfortunate slips in releases. So let’s get on with the show….

Marvel

Spider-Man 2099

spiderman2099 So let’s bring on the Spidey goodness! First up is news that one of my all time favourite spin offs – Spider-Man 2099 is finally returning. Not only that but the one and only Peter David will be in control. The new series will begin this July and will see Miguel facing a new threat – one that is looking to remove him rather violently from the time-line. I can’t wait to see the return of Miguel and the 2099 universe. What do you guys think?

Ultimate Spider-Man

Ultimate-Spiderman Off to another universe now, and there’s been some rumblings about events in the Ultimate universe – concerning our favourite webbed hero! Marvel have revealed some new info regarding some new story arcs, set to appear later this year. Since their unveiling, there’s been some interesting rumours appearing across the net. It all started with the revelation of Ultimate Spider-Man # 200. Set to take place on the anniversary of Peter Parkers demise, where friends and foes alike will reveal some shocking truths about Peters world. This was followed by news about Miles Morales: Ultimate Spider-Man #1 and the beginning of a new story arc named simply – Revival. Reading the news I’m getting excited as are others, could the Green Goblin be returning? Could the biggest surprise be the return of one Mr Parker? I can’t wait to find out…

RAI

RAI Valiant have rather pleased me this week. A little while ago, I shared my excitement that Valiant were bringing back RAI. Originally set to debut in May, however in a rather beautiful twist – the first issue will be debuting a week earlier. Hitting news stands on the 30th April – just in time for Free Comic Book Day 2024. I can’t wait to see what lays ahead in the 41st Century.

The Sandman: Overture

Sandman-Overture This week we finally saw the second issue of The Sandman: Overture finally hit news stands. Originally set to be released in December. Fans have eagerly awaited the second issue after it was hit with further delays. Now it looks like the third issue could be delayed. The third issue is officially still scheduled for the end of April, yet Neil Gaiman has revealed that he thinks it will be more likely July. Mr Gaiman is incredibly busy, so I can see why there’s delays, it’s a shame but I’m sure that it will definitely be worth the wait.
